Industrial Hygienist Technician
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct asbestos, lead-based paint and other hazardous material survey
- Provide asbestos and lead-based paint abatement monitoring
- Conduct mold and indoor air quality investigations and oversee remediation projects
- Conduct industrial hygiene surveys, e.g. exposure assessments, noise surveys
- Perform soil/groundwater sampling/monitoring for subsurface assessment/remediation projects
- Collect detailed field notes and photographs to assist project managers with completing reports
- Prepare chain of custody for analytical testing, recording survey data in approved forms
- Travel locally and regionally to project sites
- Work off-hours and weekends periodically when required
- Abide by EDV’s health and safety policies and procedures
Basic qualifications
- High School Diploma with 3+ years of experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office®.
- Willingness to travel regionally for short periods of time. Desired qualifications:
- A.S. or B.S degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, public health or related field will be considered
- 1+ years of specific experience in at least one of the following disciplines: asbestos and lead-based paint surveys and project monitoring, microbial and IAQ investigations,industrial hygiene surveys, soil/groundwater sampling/monitoring or related field. EDV will cross-train the successful candidate in the other service areas.
- AHERA asbestos certifications is a plus
- LBP inspector/monitor certifications is a plus
- NIOSH 582 course completion is a plus

Data Validator I (Part Time)
EDV seeks an individual with 0-1 years experience in analytical data validation. 1-2 yrs, analytical laboratory exp. Familiar with USEPA guidelines. Must be a quick learner.
Must be familiar with the National Functional Guidelines and Programs such as RCRA/CERCLA. Must be familiar with SW-846 Methods and EDD formats. Must have previous environmental Laboratory experience.
This is a work from home position

Data Validator II (Part Time)

Data Validator III (Part Time)
EDV seeks an individual with a BS in chemistry. 3-5 years experience performing data validations to include dioxins, PCB- congeners& PFAS. Familiar with USEPA & DOD/DOE guidelines.
2-5yrs, analytical laboratory exp.
Must be familiar with the National Functional Guidelines and Programs such as RCRA/CERCLA. Must be familiar with SW-846 Methods and EDD formats. Must have previous environmental Laboratory experience.
