PFAS via Method 1613 Course #513-PFAS
This course is designed to provide specific and more details on the data validation of per and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in environmental samples (solids, biosolids, tissue and aqueous) by Liquid Chromatography/Tandem Mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS). The course is based on USEPA Method 1633. The USEPA Contract Laboratory Protocol and SW-846 data package is used as the model for this course. The USEPA National Functional Guidelines for Organic Data Validation and the Data Review and Validation Guidelines for Perfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Analyzed Using USEPA Method 537 are utilized.
Data validation can help solve or prevent a variety of problems. When done correctly, the data is legally defensible. It also provides confidence in lab data, risk reduction, good laboratory practice, and cost-effectiveness. This is an advanced-level course, and a rigorous knowledge of organic chemistry is required.
